Hazel Mae
This is Hazel Mae Miller, she was hit by a car in Texas and put on the side of the road by the cops to just lay there and suffer possibly die. I saw her post at 1am our time and decided to help her since there was nobody else trying, she is a chocolate lab mix after all and my brother had just passed. I guess I’m saying Hank and Richard made me do it, she is a lovely soul and we were meant to find each other. Thank God for Saenz Laura, she kept her safe for months after she was discharged from the er and even drove her and her Buddy Scott all the way here. Can’t thank you enough Laura
Slater
This is Slater, the first dog I ever rescued. I mean actually rescued off the streets, he had been abandoned by a guy that was training him to be a guard dog. Left alone as a young pup around a year or a little more, to fend for himself living under a trailer. I fought so hard for this boy, given up by his foster home and two different shelters wanting to put him down. He has been a lot to handle, but he trusts me and I him.
Thor
This little guy here is Thor, Thor came here over nine years ago from a hoarding crack house if I remember the story correctly. He is crippled due to being kicked so hard they severed his spine, he was a biter as he didn’t trust humans ( how could you blame him) and he was accused of killing another little dog in his last foster home. I brought him in knowing he would be a lifer, too risky to adopt out and doubtful anybody would have wanted an older crippled chi anyway. He has been happy here, has friends of all sizes including me, he even wants to be held and kissed from time to time. I’d say given his past, Thor thinks Hank’s Hostel Fur Hounds is Heaven!
